PRESENT FUTURE TENSE








Present future tense is generally used to express something will happen in the future or such a plan.
Usual adverb of time in present future tense:

  • tonight
  • tomorrow
  • next week
  • next mont
  • next year
  • next two months
  • etc.


The formula we use to make present future tense sentences is

Nominal Sentences
(+) Subject + will + be + Object/complement.
(-) Subject + will + not + be + Object/complement.
(?) Will + Subject + be + Object/complement ?

Maria will be angry tonight.
Maria will not be sad tomorrow.
Will Maria be on time tomorrow?

Verbal Sentences
(+) Subject + will + V1 + Object/complement.
(-) Subject + will + not + V1 + Object/complement.
(?) Will + Subject + V1 + Object/complement?

John will study hard for the exam.
Tania will not study hard for the exam.
Will John and Tania study hard for the exam?

Note:
will is an auxiliary verb that must be followed by V1/be
