LEARNING SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE



A simple way to learn using simple present tense sentences.
simple present tense used to express:
1. general or fact statements
2. habitual activities

Sentence patterns of simple present tense
Nominal sentence
(+) Subject + V1(+s/es) + Object/complement
(-) Subject + do/does + not + V1 + Object/complement
(?) Do/Does + S + V1 + Object/complement ?

I have a pet cat.
I do not have a pet dog.
Do you have a pet cat?

My mother goes to Jakarta every month.
My mother does not go to Surabaya every month.
Does your mother go to Jakarta every month?

Verbal sentence
(+) Subject + (is/am/are) + Object/complement 
(-) Subject + (is/am/are) + not + Object/complement
(?) (IS/Am/Are) + Subject + Object/Complement

I am a student.
I am not a teacher.
Are you happy?
